Position Summary
As Farm Supervisor, you will play a key role in overseeing day-to-day farming operations and supervising seasonal labour teams. You’ll help ensure that crops are planted, maintained, and harvested to meet high production standards. This role is physically active and leadership-oriented, ideal for someone who enjoys both planning and hands-on field work.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and supervise daily farm operations including planting, weeding, pruning, and harvesting
- Supervise teams of 3–10 farm and harvest workers, providing guidance and ensuring task efficiency
- Maintain quality control and keep detailed production records
- Direct vine and tree maintenance tasks such as deleafing, suckering, tying, and canopy training
- Operate and maintain farm machinery, including tractors, sprayers, and forklifts
- Apply pesticides and other crop treatments in line with safety regulations
- Schedule and oversee crop irrigation and fertilization
- Monitor crop health and growth, identifying and addressing issues proactively
- Train workers on safe and efficient techniques
- Manage on-call needs and overtime schedules during peak seasons
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and use of protective equipment
- Report directly to farm management on progress and operational needs
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Experience in farm work or supervision (experience an asset, but training available)
- Valid First Aid Certificate (required)
- Pesticide Applicator’s Licence (preferred)
- Basic mechanical skills for equipment operation
- Strong oral communication, organization, and team leadership skills
- Physical stamina and ability to work in varying outdoor conditions
- Ability to maintain accurate records and follow instructions
- English language proficiency (required)
- Comfortable working with diverse teams and seasonal labourers

Salary & Benefits
- Hourly Wage: $21.00 – $24.00 depending on experience
