Job Summary

As the Housekeeping Supervisor, you will play a central role in maintaining the cleanliness, visual appeal, and readiness of guest rooms and common areas. You’ll supervise and support the housekeeping team, train new staff, manage supplies, respond to guest needs, and ensure smooth daily operations. Reporting to the Housekeeping Manager, this is a leadership role requiring initiative, reliability, and the ability to guide a team with professionalism and care.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public spaces to uphold quality and cleanliness standards
  • Supervise housekeeping staff, offering daily task assignments and motivational leadership
  • Provide hands-on training for cleaning procedures, safety, amenities, and inventory use
  • Coordinate with the maintenance department to report and follow up on room repairs
  • Monitor and update room status using Opera PMS
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness of housekeeping closets and storage rooms
  • Assist in covering shifts, managing peak periods, and handling emergency cleaning situations
  • Ensure all staff comply with uniform, grooming, and guest interaction standards
  • Participate in health, safety, and sanitation protocol implementation
  • Maintain lost and found items according to policy
  • Provide input on inventory, schedules, and operational improvements
  • Support hiring, onboarding, and performance feedback under the direction of management

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • 6+ months of hospitality housekeeping experience (leadership experience is a plus)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to lead, mentor, and coordinate a team
  • High attention to detail, organization, and time management
  • Ability to work calmly under pressure in a dynamic setting
  • Tech-savvy, with working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Opera PMS
  • Physically able to lift up to 30 lbs and remain on feet for extended periods
  • Willingness to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays, in all weather conditions
