🎯 Position Summary

Reporting to the Environmental Services Manager, the Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining sanitation and cleanliness in resident rooms, common areas, and workspaces throughout the facility. This is a full-time, first-shift position (6:00 AM to 2:30 PM) that plays a key role in infection control, safety, and resident well-being.

Key Responsibilities

Perform floor care duties including vacuuming, mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing, and steaming
Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, utility closets, and public/common areas
Refill soap, paper towel, and sanitation dispensers daily
Follow cleaning schedules (daily, weekly, monthly) as assigned
Safely handle and dispose of trash, contaminated materials, and bodily fluids
Follow all infection control and standard precaution protocols
Assist in cleaning isolation rooms and biohazard situations under nurse supervision
Maintain accurate documentation of completed room cleans and deep cleans
Use and store cleaning equipment safely and properly
Attend mandatory in-services and staff meetings
Report maintenance issues or equipment concerns to the Environmental Services Manager
Maintain HIPAA compliance and protect resident privacy
Promote a respectful, compassionate, and team-oriented workplace
Other related duties as assigned

Education & Experience:

High school diploma or GED (Required)
Previous experience in a healthcare or industrial housekeeping setting (Preferred)

Skills & Abilities:

Strong interpersonal skills; able to communicate with elderly and disabled residents
Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Dependable with good time management and attention to detail

Other Requirements:
