Job Summary

As Housekeeping Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the housekeeping department, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and guest satisfaction across all areas of the hotel. You will lead a professional team and implement best practices to deliver a flawless guest experience consistent with The Ned’s luxury positioning.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, supervise, and coordinate all housekeeping operations for guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house.
Uphold and exceed the hotel’s cleanliness and luxury presentation standards.
Recruit, train, and manage housekeeping team members, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
Develop and manage housekeeping schedules and ensure adequate staffing for daily operations.
Conduct daily inspections to ensure all rooms and areas meet quality control standards.
Liaise with engineering and front office teams to ensure guest concerns are resolved promptly.
Monitor housekeeping inventory, control usage, and manage departmental budgets.
Ensure effective linen and laundry service operations, optimizing turnaround and quality.
Maintain up-to-date records on cleaning schedules, staff performance, and guest feedback.
Enforce strict compliance with hygiene, sanitation, and safety protocols.
Implement sustainability initiatives in housekeeping practices.
Lead departmental meetings and briefings to ensure communication and consistency.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Minimum 3–5 years’ experience as a Housekeeping Manager in a luxury or five-star hospitality environment.
Proven ability to manage and inspire diverse teams in a fast-paced setting.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong attention to detail with a passion for excellence and service.
Proficiency in hotel management systems (e.g., Opera, HotSOS, or equivalent).
Working knowledge of health and safety standards and sanitation regulations.
Multilingual abilities (especially English and Arabic) are a plus.
