Civil Inspector (High Rise) Jobs in Saudi Arabia Job Summary
As a Civil Inspector, you will be based on-site in Dubai, overseeing civil and structural elements of a newly built high-rise residential tower. Reporting to the supervision team, you will ensure compliance with design specifications, safety codes, and construction best practices. You will also act as a key liaison between contractors and consultants to maintain project quality, safety, and schedule integrity.
Civil Inspector (High Rise) Jobs in Saudi Arabia Key Responsibilities
- Attend to Inspection Requests (IRs) from the contractor and take timely action.
- Review contractor’s shop drawings against contract documents and local/international codes.
- Identify and report any deviations from approved drawings and specifications.
- Monitor site safety, quality, and environmental conditions in line with QCS and health standards.
- Maintain comprehensive daily site records, including progress photos and log entries.
- Issue surveillance and non-conformance reports (NCRs) where applicable.
- Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to ensure integrated project execution.
- Provide on-site technical guidance and resolve discipline-related construction issues.
- Participate in quality audits and site meetings with stakeholders.
- Track progress and escalate delays or deficiencies to site management promptly.
- Ensure the contractor adheres to construction schedules and delivers within quality benchmarks.
Qualifications & Skills Required
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in construction supervision of high-rise buildings.
- Prior work experience with an engineering consultancy or PMC in the UAE is mandatory.
- Strong understanding of UAE construction standards, codes, and local regulatory requirements.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, construction plans, and technical documents.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and observational skills.
- Proficiency in writing technical reports and documenting site activities.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills in English (Arabic is a plus).
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and inspection-related tools.
