Role Summary

Reporting to the Front Office Manager, the Front Desk Manager plays a critical role in overseeing the daily functions of the front desk, guest services, bell desk, and switchboard operations. You will lead a dynamic team to ensure the highest level of guest satisfaction, operational excellence, and team performance — all while upholding brand standards and promoting a welcoming, collaborative culture.


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily front office operations, ensuring optimal guest service and operational efficiency.
  • Supervise and train front desk, bell, and guest services associates to deliver consistent service excellence.
  • Resolve guest issues and complaints promptly and professionally, exceeding expectations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to align operations with guest preferences and event requirements.
  • Optimize room occupancy, manage same-day selling strategies, and oversee room revenue goals.
  • Ensure adherence to hotel policies, procedures, and Marriott brand standards.
  • Monitor staffing levels, scheduling, and team performance to ensure service quality and cost-effectiveness.
  • Empower team members to take ownership of guest satisfaction and encourage a proactive service mindset.
  • Manage check-in/check-out processes, VIP handling, and loyalty program recognition.
  • Support HR initiatives, including onboarding, training, performance management, and employee satisfaction.
  • Conduct daily briefings, promote operational consistency, and ensure strong team communication.
  • Act as Duty Manager and represent Front Office leadership in the absence of the Front Office Manager.

Qualifications & Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in Hospitality, Business, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in guest services, front desk, or related hospitality role.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English; Arabic is a plus.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Familiarity with property management systems (e.g., Opera, Marriott systems) is an advantage.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced, high-volume hotel environment.
