Te whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity
We’re looking for a Civil Drafter/Designer who has experience in Transport and Infrastructure based in Auckland. Every day will provide you with new challenges and look a little different, overall, this role will see you:
- Producing CAD drawings for projects such as airports, roads, pipelines, ponds and stormwater.
- Produce, check and issue civil project drawings using AutoCAD, in accordance with local and national standards, and in conjunction with design engineers.
- Assisting with the management, and delegation of CAD related work for the wider team, particularly for large projects.
- Guiding and mentoring new and junior team members with the development of their CAD skills.

Your passion, design and problem-solving mindset will be matched with a desire to work on meaningful and significant projects across New Zealand in a multidisciplinary business. You have graduated with a Diploma or above in civil engineering or construction and have experience in using AutoCAD. You will have an enquiring mind, able to problem solve and think laterally. How you work is also important to us – we will value your enthusiasm and motivation to continue to learn from your peers and more senior members of the team.
You will have a minimum of two years relevant work experience post qualification. We believe that the best place to learn is on the job, you’ll get ongoing support from experienced mentors, development opportunities, support towards professional memberships and access to an established and active social community.
Aligned with the level of the role, we envision that the base salary component will be between NZD $71,200 – $106,800, depending on skills and experience. The role is full time and permanent, with minimum guaranteed hours of 40 hours a week.
