Harvest Road Group is a family-owned West Australian integrated Cattle, Beef and Aquaculture business. Our diverse operations span the entire state, from the majestic Kimberley region in the north down to the scenic beauty of Albany in the south, partnering with over 1,400 small businesses to deliver Western Australia’s quality produce to our customers across Australia and around the world through our lead brands Harvey Beef and Leeuwin Coast.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a dedicated Farm Hand to help manage and maintain 140 hectares of farmland surrounding our processing facility. This land plays a crucial role in our licensed effluent management system and provides grazing pastures for livestock.

The Role

  • Monitor the health and welfare of cattle on a 24/7 rotational basis.
  • Assist with receiving and supplying cattle as directed by the Livestock Department.
  • Implement and oversee the farm’s Biosecurity Plan in collaboration with our Technical & Livestock teams.
  • Support the cropping program as per the Nutrient and Irrigation Management Plan (NIMP).
  • Feed livestock and coordinate feed requirements with the Stockyards Team.
  • Maintain and repair farm infrastructure and machinery to ensure safe and efficient operations.
  • Work alongside contractors for farm operations and maintenance.
  • Assist with additional farm-related tasks as required.

Our Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Availability to work weekends and on a rotating shift roster.
  • Experience operating ATVs, tractors, and other farm machinery.
  • A strong understanding of livestock handling and animal welfare.
  • Knowledge of rotational grazing techniques and cropping.
  • Experience with flood irrigation systems.
  • Skills in general farm and machinery maintenance, including fencing repairs.
  • A solid commitment to workplace safety in all aspects of farm operations.

Preferred Qualifications & Certifications

  • Manual Driver’s Licence (required).
  • Stock Handling Certificate (preferred).
  • ChemCert Accreditation (preferred).
