Employer is a diversified and integrated farming enterprise involved in Sheep and Beef breeding and finishing, Dairy, Cropping, and Forestry. We are seeking a motivated and reliable Farm Labourer to join our team and support day-to-day operations across all aspects of the farm.
- Minimum 30 hours per week guaranteed.
- Employee housing is provided on-site, and applicants must reside in the farm accommodation. No drive-in options available.
- Accommodation may be shared or private, depending on availability at the time of successful placement. No pets allowed.
Minimum Requirements:
- Applicants must be physically fit and willing to learn.
- Applicants must pass pre-employment drug test and have no criminal record.
- Must have a driver licence
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Ability to work outdoors in varying conditions.
- Competence with basic farm tools and machinery.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.

General Farm Work
- Assist with farm clean-up, including rubbish disposal and removal of flood or storm debris.
- Repair and maintain farm dwellings and infrastructure.
- Support in fencing activities, including clearing damaged fences and refencing paddocks.
- Participate in re-grassing activities such as planting, rolling, and fertiliser application.
Animal Handling and Dairy Support
- Assist with moving, handling, and monitoring animals in accordance with animal welfare standards and support the milking team as required.
- Identify and report sick or injured animals to the farm manager promptly.
Machinery and Equipment
- Operate farm vehicles, quad bikes, and motorcycles safely.
- Conduct basic maintenance on vehicles and farm equipment and report any faults or breakdowns.
- Use tractors for tasks such as loader work, mowing, and feeding out.
- Safely use chainsaws and other power tools, including tree felling and pruning work.
- Maintain and repair water supply systems as required.
Forestry and Cropping
- Undertake shelterbelt pruning, tree felling, and limbing tasks.
- Carry out general maintenance work in production forestry areas.
Health, Safety, and Compliance
- Comply with all farm health and safety policies and procedures.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment at all times.
- Understand and meet obligations under the Health and Safety at Work Act.
- Follow safety guidelines to ensure personal and team safety, particularly in hazardous conditions.
Record Keeping and Teamwork
- Accurately document work completed and materials used.
- Maintain a clean and hygienic work environment.
- Demonstrate a positive attitude, willingness to learn, and assist others as required.
